The Curb Your Snoring Recipe Of The Month – Easy Apple Crisps

It is mildly sweet and has healthy ingredients. It’s a delicious recipe any time of the year, and in the fall you have a lot of apple variety to choose from.
Yield: 6 servings
Filling:
4 medium-large fresh apples, sliced
The juice of ½ orange or lemon
1 tsp. vanilla extract
½ tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
Pinch sea salt
Topping:
1 cup rolled oats, coarsely ground
½ cup walnuts, pecans or almonds, coarsely ground
¼ cup brown rice syrup
Pinch sea salt
Other options: sunflower seeds, shredded coconut
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Combine filling ingredients and place in 8-inch square baking dish.
3. In separate bowl, combine topping ingredients to form a sticky dough.
4. Place dough in an even layer on top of fruit.
5. Bake for about 30-40 minutes, until topping is golden brown and fruit is tender.
6. Remove from oven and allow to cool before serving.
